Job Opening: Manager, Retail Sales
The successful Manager candidate will work directly with the Anchora Bella Boutique owners and have at least 3-4 years of specialty retail experience, preferably in a leadership role. They will be a jack of all trades, with an entrepreneur mindset, they will be a recruiter, an educator, a motivator, and a leader. Our Manager is a fashion savvy member of the Anchora Bella Boutique team who must have a strong emphasis on guest service, product and visual presentation, be an effective problem solver and possess an entrepreneurial spirit in order to support the Anchora Bella ownership team. The Manager will help the owners in building and retaining a high performing and diverse sales team and will motivate the team to provide superior customer service and in turn maximize sales. In partnership with the owners, the Manager must understand business drivers, how to maximize profitability, and ensure visual and operational standards are met consistently in the boutique. The Store Lead/Manager is responsible for ensuring that sales goals are achieved by supporting and executing brand standards for our customers and team. This will include assisting with customer needs, offering product knowledge, merchandising, handling cash transactions, and maintaining a neat and visually inspiring boutique environment.
Candidates must be able to work a flexible schedule according to the needs of the business, which will including evenings, weekends and holidays.
Responsibilities:
Leadership/Teamwork:
- Drives business results by maximizing daily sales plans improving metrics through sales floor leadership and continuous coaching on and off the sales floor

Guest Experience:

- Is able to balance and assists in preparing the team to balance our customer experience with necessary operational tasks
- Supports event management, building vendor relationships to support monthly in-store events
Visual Merchandising:
- Maintains a visually inspiring boutique that is compelling to our customers at all times
- Along with ownership, delivers our visual brand standards and presenting our unique product mix by actively working with products including: stocking, replenishing, folding, hanging, displaying and merchandising
- Is knowledgeable about products, campaign promotions and merchandising standards
- Demonstrates a passion for fashion by understanding trends
Operations:
- Able to make decisions that directly impact your bottom line; including sales, payroll, and loss prevention
- Understands and enforces all company policies and procedures in a fair and consistent manner
- Assists with the scheduling of team members in order to deliver the expected level of guest service and maximize sales potential
- Manages back-end admin updates to store inventory & shipping platform
- Performs and supervises boutique opening and closing procedures including activities to prepare for bank deposits and securing the boutique
- Ensures the selling floor, cash wrap, fitting rooms and stockroom are clean and well maintained
- Protects the physical assets of the boutique by participating in weekly audits, routine cycle counts and an annual inventory counts
- Assists in management and regular visual updates for Anchora Bella Boutique social media platforms
- Processes all incoming invoices and purchase orders to ensure on-time delivery of inventory from vendors
- Supports development and management of marketing initiatives including FB/IG and Google Ads, Email campaigns and SMS campaigns
- Assists owners in seasonal buying for the store
Qualifications:
- Possess a creative flair for fashion
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience working in a specialty retail store
- Demonstrates leadership and integrity working with boutique team members
- Strong merchandising and visual skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills – for both customers and staff!
- Excellent organization skills; able to plan and execute tasks efficiently
- Proactive and creative problem-solving ability
- Flexible and adaptable
- Ability to multi-task and balance multiple priorities
- Proficient POS and computer skills
- Ability to work weekends, nights and holidays
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to effectively maneuver around sales floor and stockroom, repetitive bending, prolonged standing, twisting, stooping, squatting and climbing
- Must be able to work alone
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 35lbs

- Travel for events around the greater Kansas City area
- Quarterly travel opportunities available
Full-time opportunity: 25-40 hours per week.
Weekends required.
